At present, China’s livestock and poultry farming sector continues to expand, driving a growing demand for the safe disposal of dead animals. The next-generation integrated technology and equipment for the harmless treatment of deceased livestock and poultry have undergone technical optimization, achieving upgrades in processing efficiency, environmental protection, and automation levels, thereby providing a more reliable technical solution for the prevention and control of animal diseases.

At present, China’s livestock and poultry farming sector continues to expand, driving a growing demand for the safe disposal of dead animals. The next-generation integrated system for the harmless treatment of deceased livestock and poultry has undergone technological optimization, achieving upgrades in processing efficiency, environmental protection, and automation levels, thereby providing a more reliable technical solution for the prevention and control of animal diseases.

Following this upgrade, the complete system has undergone structural optimization of the rendering host, the sealed conveying pipeline, and the exhaust gas purification unit. The entire production process operates in a fully enclosed, negative-pressure environment; from raw material feeding and high‑temperature sterilization and rendering to solid–liquid separation and residue discharge, all steps are carried out within closed equipment, effectively preventing the release of pathogens. The high‑temperature rendering unit employs precise temperature and pressure control to ensure consistent and reliable sterilization performance. Exhaust gases are treated through a multi‑stage purification process that removes malodorous emissions generated during production, ensuring compliance with emission standards. The resulting meat and bone meal and animal fats can be recovered and reused as bio‑raw materials, turning waste into valuable resources.

The equipment is equipped with an integrated intelligent electrical control cabinet that can collect key process parameters—including temperature, pressure, and operating time—in real time, and supports automatic fault alarms, significantly reducing the workload of manual operations and mitigating biosecurity risks associated with human intervention. The entire system features a modular design, facilitating on-site installation, operation, and maintenance, and is compatible with the development of county‑level centralized harmless treatment facilities.

According to the technical lead, the new process adheres to the core principle of “prioritizing harmlessness while supplementing it with resource recovery,” balancing biosafety and environmental protection requirements. Compared with conventional methods, the new equipment shortens the treatment cycle, optimizes energy consumption, and delivers more stable environmental emission performance. The widespread adoption and implementation of this technology will help refine the regional system for the collection, storage, transportation, and disposal of dead livestock and poultry, thereby safeguarding both animal‑raising safety and public health.
